Somali Defense Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur held talks with US Chargé d'Affaires in Somalia Shane L. Deekson.
They discussed ways to enhance the efforts of the Field Support Directorate in the fight against terrorist militias, and the implementation of the Somali Security Development Plan and the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) plan.
Abdulkadir valued the United States' continued support for the development of peace and security in Somalia, according to the Somali News Agency (Sonna).
