At least four civilians were killed after a roadside bomb exploded in a suburb of Hirshabelle State, Somalia, media outlets reported on Monday.

The reports pointed out that an explosive device detonated in a vehicle carrying the victims near the city's airport. It also claimed that the Al-Shabab movement is behind the explosion.

Last November, at least eight people died and 17 others were wounded in “a suicide car bombing” in Mogadishu

Police told the international media that the death toll could rise after a suicide bomber targeted a convoy escorting foreign security forces near a local school in the Hodan district in Mogadishu.

The police revealed: “At least eight were killed and 17 others injured in the blast. The blast occurred in front of Muasir school and children are among the casualties.”
