President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi paid brief fraternal visits to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to express Egypt’s solidarity with Gulf states amid ongoing regional tensions and reaffirm its rejection of attacks targeting their security and stability.
In Manama, President el-Sisi held talks with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, during which he confirmed Egypt’s full support for Bahrain in facing current challenges and condemned attacks targeting the kingdom. The discussions addressed efforts to contain escalation and restore stability in the region, with both sides stressing the importance of continued coordination and joint action.
The president then traveled to Jeddah, where he met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s full backing for Saudi Arabia, stressing that Gulf security is an integral part of Egypt’s national security. He also reviewed ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and return to diplomatic solutions.
The talks in both countries covered regional developments and the need to intensify coordination to address current challenges. The president returned to Cairo later the same day after concluding the visits.
