Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks on Thursday covering various paths of cooperation and joint action.
The discussions focused particularly on economic and developmental sectors, exploring ways to enhance partnership to serve the development priorities and mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.
The meeting took place during President el-Sisi’s brotherly visit to the United Arab Emirates, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The two leaders addressed the latest developments in the Middle East amidst escalating military actions, highlighting the serious implications these developments pose to regional and international security and stability.
Sisi reiterated Egypt’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks that continue to target the UAE and several sisterly nations in the region, describing them as a violation of sovereignty and international law.
Moreover, Sisi affirmed his country's full solidarity with the UAE regarding all measures taken to protect its security, territorial integrity, and citizens.
Both sides also emphasized the urgent need for an immediate de-escalation and a return to serious dialogue and diplomatic means to settle outstanding issues in the region.
Furthermore, they stressed that such an approach is vital to sparing the region further security tensions and crises while maintaining regional peace and stability.
