President Abdel Fattah El Sisi assigned Mohammad Yahya, secretary at the Presidency of the Republic, on Friday, to congratulate the Greek Orthodox community on Christmas.
Sisi made sure that Yahya attended the celebration of the glorious Christmas.
The Greek Community of Cairo celebrated Christmas Eve with cheerful emotions, along with Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa.
The festive events took place at Saint Nicholas Church, Patriarchal Vicariate of Cairo, and the Greek Nursing Home of the Greek Community.
The Patriarch of Alexandria officiated the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy at the St. Nicholas Church in Hamzawi.
On the other hand, the Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo, Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis, Archimandrite Stefanos Soulimiotis and Archimandrite Ioakeim celebrated the services.
