President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Kenyan President William Ruto.
Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the Kenyan President stressed during the call the special importance he attaches to consultation with President Sisi in light of the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and it Kenya, praising in this regard Egypt’s active role at the continental level.
The official spokesman explained that the President, for his part, praised the continued development in the course of bilateral relations between Egypt and Kenya, expressing his appreciation for Kenya, its people and its leadership, pointing out to the broad prospects for developing relations and advancing the frameworks of joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields.
The official spokesman added that the two presidents discussed developments in a number of regional issues and files related to the African Union, where the two presidents expressed their aspiration to continue joint coordination on ways to confront various challenges.
