Sisi Reaffirms Importance of Education as Basic Human Right, Pillar for Development

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed the importance of education as a basic human right and a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development and building advanced societies.

This came in a tweet by President El-Sisi on his official page on social media on the occasion of International Education Day, where President El-Sisi said, "On the occasion of International Education Day, I reiterate the importance of education as a basic human right and a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development and building advanced societies."

The President said 'we are working hard to develop the educational process at all stages and keep pace with continuous development."

He added, "Education is the path to a better future, and we are working hard to develop the educational process in all its stages, and keep pace with the continuous development, and for the National Council for Education, Research and Innovation to play its role, to be the comprehensive umbrella for developing the education system in Egypt, and to develop comprehensive educational strategies based on an integrated vision after studying the proposals of the state institutions concerned with education, in order to ensure their positive connection to the local, regional and global labor market. It is important that educational strategies be long-term and stable, based on a clear and sustainable vision, so that they are not affected by the change of officials or administrations, in order to ensure continuity in achieving the desired progress in the education sector, and I ask God Almighty to guide national efforts to achieve a comprehensive educational renaissance that meets the aspirations of our children and contributes to building a brighter future for Egypt."
