President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian Armed Forces for their continuous state of readiness, stating: "I must thank the Armed Forces for their constant preparedness and I thank you for your great patriotism and your loyal and sincere dedication to the nation, not to anyone else."
In his speech during the inspection of the Sixth Armored Division of the Second Field Army in Ismailia Governorate,Sisi added, "In 2011 and 2013, there was a real test for the Armed Forces, regardless of whether what happened in 2011 was planned, a miscalculation, or a conspiracy. The ultimate goal was for the two wings of the nation in Egypt—the police and the army—to fall, leading to a major civil conflict that would continue and consume all opportunities for development, even if they were modest and limited."
He continued, "What I am saying is a recognition and respect for the role that was played during that time to protect the Egyptian people and the national security of Egypt from the consequences of one of the most difficult periods it has faced. This was followed by another very difficult period, which was the fight against terrorism that lasted for ten years.Thank God, I congratulate the Armed Forces, the police, and the state for the efforts made during this challenging time."
"Once again, I thank you for your spirit, sacrifices, and I honor the martyrs, their families, and the injured who fell in this battle on behalf of the entire Egyptian state," the president added.
