President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, on Thursday, Matsumoto Yohei, Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
The meeting was attended by Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education; Ambassador Iwai Fumio, Japan's Ambassador to Cairo; Kitayama Koji, Director-General of International Affairs at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology; and Kobataki Yasu, also from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Mohamed El-Shenawy, official presidential spokesperson stated that President Sisi welcomed the Japanese Minister and asked him to convey his greetings to Emperor Naruhito of Japan and to Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
Moreover, Sisi emphasized Egypt's pride in its close and longstanding cooperative relations with Japan across various fields, particularly education.
He also commended Japan's significant contribution to the Grand Egyptian Museum project and the success of the Egyptian-Japanese Schools project.
Furthermore, Sisi underlined Egypt's interest in increasing the number of these schools in different governorates and enhancing the participation and increasing the number of Japanese principals and experts managing them.
