President Abdel Fattah El Sisi performed today the Friday prayer at the Mosque of the Field Marshal Tantawy (El Mosheer Tantawy) and met with a number of senior commanders of the armed forces after performing the prayers, according to Presidency Spokesman Bassam Rady.
Rady said that Sisi performed the Friday prayers coinciding with the celebrations of Egypt and the armed forces on the tenth of Ramadan victory anniversary in the presence of Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments and Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti, the governor of Cairo, leaders of the main branches, senior commanders of the armed forces, and a number of officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers.
After performing the Friday prayers, the president met with the top commanders of the armed forces, and he congratulated the armed forces on the occasion of the anniversary of the victories of the tenth of Ramadan.
Sisi stressed that the Egyptian people appreciate the efforts and sacrifices made by the heroes of the armed forces in defense of Egypt's security and safety.
He also discussed a number of important issues at all levels internally, regionally and internationally.
“Sisi tackled with a number of senior commanders of the armed forces some issues related to the Egyptian national security and the challenges facing the Egyptian state,” the spokesman noted.
