Sisi: New Traffic Axis to Be Named after Japan's Shinzo Abe

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Thursday with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning so as to follow up on the road network projects, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

The meeting was also attended by Major General Staff Ehab Al-Far, Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Khaled Bakri, head of the Engineering Authority's advisory office, and Brigadier General Abdel Aziz Al-Fiqi, head of road designs at the Military Engineers Department.

Rady stated that the meeting dealt with following up on the developments of the road network projects and new axes in the Cairo governorate, as well as a number of national projects nationwide.

"The executive position of the group of roads, axes and bridges under construction in the framework of the various stages of development in East Cairo, especially in the areas of Nasr City and the Suez Bridge was tackled," he added.

Sisi also discussed the plan to link Adli Mansour station to the Cairo Airport, as well as the architectural and construction development underway within the framework of the general plan for the lands surrounding the axes of Cairo Airport.
