Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Tuesday Ayman Al-Safadi, Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, according to Presidency spokesman Bassam Rady.
At the outset of the meeting, the president requested Al-Safadi to convey his greetings to Jordanian King Abdullah II, expressing his keenness to continue the existing coordination between the two countries at various levels, especially in light of the growing challenges facing the region.
Moreover, Sisi hailed the deep historical ties and fraternal relations enjoyed by the two countries at the official and popular levels.
On his part, the Jordanian FM expressed his honor to meet the President, conveying to His Excellency the greetings of King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.
He also affirmed Jordan's readiness to continue intensive coordination and consultations with Egypt at all levels and in light of the Egyptian vital role in the region, in a way that contributes to facing common challenges.

The meeting also tackled ways to boost joint bilateral ties between the two countries, which gained momentum in recent years, thanks to strong personal relations between President Sisi, and Abdullah II.
Moreover, They discussed the latest developments in the region, especially the peace process in the Middle East, underling the importance of intensifying international efforts to settle the Palestinian crisis based on international legitimacy resolutions.
The meeting also touched on the Libyan crisis developments. In this regard, the president stressed the importance of maintaining Libya's status quo, in accordance with the announced borders, in order to reach a radical and comprehensive solution to restore stability and security in Libya through the political path.
