President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the two leaders exchanged warm greetings and well-wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
According to Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, both leaders extended their heartfelt congratulations to the people of Egypt and Iran, as well as to the broader Muslim world, wishing peace, prosperity, and blessings during the holy festival.
In addition to the Eid greetings, the two presidents discussed regional developments and jointly stressed the critical importance of avoiding further escalation in the Middle East. They emphasized the need to prevent any slide into military conflict, which could have severe consequences for regional peace and security.
The call comes at a time of heightened tensions in various parts of the region, underscoring the shared commitment of Egypt and Iran to diplomacy, dialogue, and the pursuit of stability.
