President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Inaugurated Wednesday Smart and Secure Documents Complex at Cairo-Ain Sokhna road, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
The complex aims to issue various government documents through a unified central system at the national level that ensures the governance of issuing official documents with the latest global security specifications such as educational certificates, passports, documents of civil status transactions of all kinds, all real estate registration documents, model government contracts, smart cards, and other documents.
The complex is a gigantic technological building with advanced technical capabilities in the field of manufacturing and issuing secure identification documents.
"It is the largest and most modern of its kind in the Middle East and Africa region," said Rady.
He added that the Complex represents a great added value to support the country's strategy for digital transformation and automation, especially with regard to documents and data for all government agencies.
In July, 2020, Sisi gave directives to the concerned authorities for making coordination and well-planned integration measures between the complex and all concerned authorities to ensure data accuracy and validity in various types of documents according to the highest international standards.
“These measures also aim to standardize technical specifications through a unified central system at the national level, ensuring the governance of issuing state documents,” Rady added.
