President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that Egypt is part of the global economy, and the challenges facing the world must be taken into account.
During his speech at the panel discussion on the sidelines of 2nd edition of the Global Conference on Health, Population, and Human Development, President Sisi added, "We have lost around 6-7 billion dollars in the past 10 months, due to events in the region, and this situation may persist for another year as a result of the ongoing repercussions we are witnessing."
"When we talk about the program we’ve agreed upon with the International Monetary Fund (IMF)... it's important for the government. If the challenge leads us to put pressure on public opinion in a way that people cannot bear, then the situation with the IMF must be reviewed. Thank you very much," he continued.
