Sisi Hails Historic Relations Btw Egypt, Yemen

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council.

During the meeting, Al -Alimi reviewed the latest developments in Yemen and the ongoing efforts to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, stressing his country's appreciation for the steadfast Egyptian position in support of the Yemeni people, as well as its supportive efforts to reach a political settlement, in a way to restore security and stability in the country and alleviates the severity of the current humanitarian crises.

On his part, Sisi affirmed the strength of the historic relations that unite the two brotherly countries.

He also stressed on the firm Egyptian stance towards supporting the unity and sovereignty of the Yemeni state and the integrity of its national institutions, and encouraging all efforts aimed at finding a comprehensive and sustainable political solution, to preserve the country's unity and the cohesion of its legitimate institutions.
