President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met today, Saturday, with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to follow up the developments of petroleum-related projects.
"During the meeting, Sisi followed up the developments of a number of projects in the petroleum industries sector at the national level," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Sisi urged concerned officials to continue raising the efficiency of the petroleum products and services system and to expand investments in the petroleum sector in order to enhance the capacity of this important investment field in supporting the national economy and securing the needs of the local market.
He also reviewed the most prominent developments in petroleum projects at the national level, especially with regard to the current cooperation situation with international oil companies, in the field of research, exploration, and new discoveries in the field of energy, in addition to the continuous efforts to provide the petroleum products necessary to advance production and development in the country.
Other concerned ministers and officials attended that meeting including Nevin Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, Major General Mohamed Amin, Advisor to the President for Financial Affairs, and Major General Ahmed El Shazly, Head of the Financial Affairs Authority of the Armed Forces.
