President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi commerated on Monday the 52nd anniversary of glorious victory of October war.
"From the spirit of October, we derive our resolve to build a New Egypt that befits its status and history, making it worthy of joining the ranks of major powers," Sisi said in televised address.
"Meticulous planning, coordination among state institutions, a cohesive internal front, and certainty in God's victory are the keys to triumph," the president added.
"The epic of October taught us that victory is not granted, but it is seized," Sisi continued.
Moreover, President Sisi stated that the Egyptian experience with peace with Israel was not merely an agreement but was a foundation for a just peace that cemented stability and proved that fairness is the only path to lasting peace, describing it as a historical model to be emulated in the making of true peace.
"We firmly believe that true peace in the Middle East will only be achieved by establishing an independent Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy references, thereby restoring rights to their owners," Sisi stressed.
"Peace imposed by force only generates tension, whereas peace built on justice is what yields genuine normalization and sustainable coexistence between peoples," Sisi continued.
He further stated: "I extend my salute and appreciation to U.S. President Donald Trump for his initiative, which seeks to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip after two years of war, extermination, killing, and destruction."
"Great people of Egypt, in closing my address, I assure you that Egypt's army is upholding its mission of protecting its country and safeguarding its borders, and it does not fear challenges. It is a national army, from the very fabric of this great nation, and its sons carry their souls in their hands and stand as an impenetrable dam against all difficulties and threats," Sisi said.
"I renew my salute to our valiant Armed Forces, to our righteous martyrs who watered the soil of the homeland with their pure blood, and to our heroic soldiers who stay awake so that Egypt may sleep safe and sound," he added.
