President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received today Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the President of the United States for Arab and African Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs; Major General Hassan Rashad, Head of the General Intelligence Directorate; Ivina Sidrias, Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy; and Nathaniel Turner, Political Counselor at the US Embassy.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that Boulos conveyed to President Sisi the greetings and appreciation of US President Donald Trump, which President Sisi appreciated, emphasizing the centrality of the strategic cooperation between Egypt and the United States, and requesting that his greetings be conveyed to President Trump.
The official spokesperson indicated that the meeting addressed ways to advance and strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and the United States, where the President stressed the importance of building on the momentum that the strategic relations between the two countries have witnessed during the past period in order to elevate joint cooperation in various fields, in a way that achieves the interests of both sides. The importance of holding the second edition of the Egyptian-American Economic Forum during 2026 was emphasized, as well as the need to increase consultation and coordination between the two countries on various regional issues, most notably the situations in Sudan, Libya and the Horn of Africa, in order to achieve stability in the region.
