Sisi Awarded Germany’s St. George Medal

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the Semper Opera Ball's Dresden Medal of St. George in recognition of his efforts to achieve security, stability and development in Egypt.

“The Medal was presented to Mr. President by Mr. Hans Joachim, the head of the German delegation,” presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi said.

Joachim said that president Sisi was awarded the Semper Opera Ball's Dresden Medal of St. George for this year in appreciation of his untiring efforts in various fields during the past years, especially in terms of restoring security and stability in Egypt in the light of a turbulent regional environment, in addition to his pioneering role in achieving the development aspirations of the entire African continent, which strengthened Egypt's position at the regional, continental and international levels.

This medal was awarded to a number of kings, heads of states and senior officials, including the Queen of Sweden and the Russian and Romanian presidents.

In the same context, the German delegation praised Egypt's tireless efforts in combating illegal immigration, and expressed appreciation for the efforts of President Sisi in spreading culture and values of peaceful coexistence.

On his part, the president welcomed the members of the German delegation in Egypt, expressing his appreciation for receiving the Semper Opera Ball's Dresden Medal of St. George.
