President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call, on Sunday, with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Mohamed El-Shennawy, official Presidential stated that the call addressed current regional developments.
Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s absolute solidarity with the UAE’s leadership and people in the face of current challenges.
Moreover, he stressed Egypt’s categorical rejection and condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and the security of the Arab Gulf states, emphasizing Egypt's readiness to provide all possible forms of support to maintain regional stability.
President Sisi also noted that Egypt is intensifying its international and regional efforts to end the war as soon as possible, praising the UAE’s responsible role in supporting de-escalation efforts.
The spokesperson added that Sisi commended the measures taken by the UAE to contain the current escalation. Both leaders agreed on the necessity of pursuing de-escalation to spare the region further tension and instability.
For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt’s steadfast positions in support of the Gulf states.
Furthermore, he emphasized the UAE's commitment to continued close coordination with Egypt and fellow Arab nations to prevent further escalation and work toward ending the war swiftly, while praising the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two countries and their peoples.
The spokesperson concluded that President Sisi underscored during the call that Egypt views Gulf security as an integral part of its own national security.
Sisi also noted that their shared destiny necessitates strengthening Arab cooperation and unifying ranks to face current challenges, highlighting the importance of consolidating the concept of collective Arab national security to protect Arab states from any threats or aggression.
