An informative seminar titled "The Glorious October Victories: History Shaping the Future" was held last Tuesday at the Sidi Gaber Languages School Complex - El-Dairi Boys in Alexandria Governorate.
The seminar targeted upper-grade primary school students at the complex, under the directives of the Complex Director, Ms. Nahla Gaber, and the Primary Section Director, Mr. Bahaa El-Din Khafagy, and in cooperation with Dr. Shireen Gaber.
This event is part of the complex's commitment to enhancing community participation and instilling national culture in the younger generation.
The event commenced with a speech by Mr. Bahaa El-Din Khafagy, who welcomed the attendees and affirmed that these seminars are part of the complex's plan to embed national values and develop a sense of belonging among students.
He praised the fruitful cooperation with Dr. Shireen Gaber, Senior Researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies at the Library of Alexandria.
In her address, Dr. Shireen Gaber pointed out the importance of the October Victories anniversary in shaping the consciousness of the rising generations and linking the nation's rich past with its present and future.
She stressed that the victory was not a coincidence, but rather the fruit of strategic planning and the strong will of the Egyptian people.
Mr. Bahaa El-Din Khafagy also clarified that the Primary Section plays a pivotal role in supporting awareness and interactive activities that contribute to building the students' national character.
The seminar included several diverse activities, starting with the screening of a documentary film covering the events of the Glorious October War and the sacrifices of the Armed Forces heroes.
This was followed by an interactive presentation by Dr. Shireen Gaber, in which she connected the events of the past with the current efforts in building the nation's future.
Dr. Gaber emphasized the lessons learned from the war, foremost among them the importance of planning, determination, and the belief in the ability of Egyptians to overcome challenges.
She presented exemplary models of patriotism and perseverance, stressing that the spirit of October should remain a guiding light that inspires all walks of life, from education and work to scientific research and community initiatives.
