Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Friday a phone call from his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations in all fields and push them to broader horizons, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez.
The ministers expressed their keenness to ensure the advancement of joint work and the continuation of the march of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
They stressed the importance of continuing consultations and coordination in various regional and international issues of common interest.
Jaishankar wrote on his official twitter account: " Very pleased to greet FM Sameh Shoukry of Egypt in the New Year. This year is special, marking 75 years of our diplomatic relationship. Look forward to working together to take it to even greater heights."
