Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez, announced that Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry affirmed that the security of the Gulf states is an "integral part of Egypt's security."
During his meeting in Riyadh with the ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Shoukry stressed the need to "intensify coordination to confront the unprecedented challenges in the region."
In his speech during the meeting, Shoukry pointed out to the "deep fraternal relations between the two sides, stressing the importance of strengthening relations between the two sides to achieve the aspirations of our peoples for development and prosperity."
Noteworthy, Shoukry arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to participate in the inauguration of the political consultation mechanism between Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
