Shaykh Nuriddin Kholiknazarov, Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and Member of the Muslim Council of Elders, affirmed that justice is a profound human and Islamic value.
He explained that Almighty God has commanded us to uphold justice in all circumstances, having sent all the prophets and revealed the heavenly books to establish it.
Speaking in the second episode of the program "Human Values with the Elders," broadcast for the third consecutive year on the Muslim Council of Elders’ social media pages, He emphasized that justice is a cornerstone of Islam. It is one of the Most Beautiful Names of Allah, the absolute possessor of justice. All His actions are rooted in fairness; He wrongs no one and is exalted above injustice.
He assigns His servants only what they can bear, never burdening them beyond their capacity. He does not hold one person accountable for another’s sins, nor does He punish anyone beyond what they deserve, ensuring every individual receives their rights without diminishment.
The Member of the Muslim Council of Elders added that when a person embodies justice and makes it a guiding principle in life—neither wronging others nor denying anyone their due—they become beloved to Allah. Justice fosters piety and blesses one’s deeds. As Almighty Allah, states, "Be just; it is closer to piety," and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "This nation will remain in goodness as long as it speaks the truth, rules with justice, and shows mercy when mercy is sought."
