A Shark attacked a tourist resort employee in the Sidi Abdel Rahman area, on the northern coast, Egypt.

The man was reportedly swimming in the Mediterranean Sea when the attack happened, about three kilometers from the shore.

Recently, the northern coast of Egypt has seen whales rush towards the beaches, but they have not seen any shark activities in the area.

As a result, the civilian sustained an open lacerated wound in his left arm, approximately 5 x 20 cm long.

On his part, Dr. Mohamed Ali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Marsa Matrouh Governorate confirmed that Al-Alamein Central Hospital had received the injured, named "Tariq Khalaf Mohamed" 58 years old, from Alexandria Governorate.

Ali indicated that the injured person had a laceration in the left arm, as a result of a shark attack, while he was swimming in a resort in Sidi Abdel Rahman.

He explained that the hospital's doctors provided the necessary medical services to the injured, after he was rescued.
