Several Wounded in Knife Attack on Train in Germany

Several people were reported injured in a knife attack that took place on an Intercity-Express (ICE) train, DW cited authorities on Saturday.

Police revealed that the attack occurred on a train near Bavaria, it was travelling between Neumarkt and Regensburg.

At least three persons were injured, two of them had serious wounds, however, they are not life-threatening.

Shortly after the accident, police arrested the attacker, therefore, authorities announced that the threat is over in the incident's scene.

Until this moment, authorities haven't presented any further details about people who were involved in the attack, or the motives of the criminal. All details are still unclear.

However, the German newspaper, Bild, mentioned that investigators are working on identifying the possibility of any terrorist motives behind the attack.

Regarding the activity of the transportation, all trains are back to their routes once again after they were suspended amid the attack.
