Senegal national team manager, Aliou Cisse, congratulated Egypt for their performance and win in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The Pharaohs managed to snatch a crucial 1-0 win against Senegal in the first leg to take a slight advantage going into the away game.
The only goal of the game came in the fourth minute through an own goal by Saliou Ciss.
“It was a balanced match. Egypt took advantage of the opportunity and scored early. We had many chances, but we lacked the effectiveness necessary draw,” Cisse said in the post-match press conference.
“The Egyptian team played well. For us, this is the time to prepare for the next match and avoid the mistakes of the first leg.
“I told the players to keep their heads high, this is the first leg and there is still a second match in our stadium and with our fans. We saw the great impact of the Egyptian fans, and this will be in our favour when we play at home.
