As part of ongoing efforts to combat commercial fraud and crack down on counterfeit products, the General Administration for Supply and Internal Trade Police, under the Economic Security Sector, successfully seized approximately 4 kilograms of gold and silver jewelry bearing defaced hallmarks and suspected of being counterfeit.
The seized items were found inside six jewelry shops located within the jurisdiction of Al-Gamaliya Police Department in Cairo. The products were reportedly prepared for sale with the intent to defraud consumers and generate illicit profits.
