Cairo's Civil Protection forces are actively searching for missing persons following the partial collapse of a building in the Duwayq area of Cairo on Monday morning.
The incident was reported to the Manasha Nasser Police Department by the Operations Room of the Emergency Police. A residential building on Al-Hurriya Street collapsed partially.
The Director of Cairo's General Civil Protection Administration has dispatched a ground rescue team in coordination with the police department to search for possible victims under the rubble.
Earlier, a similar incident occurred in Ismailia, where a seven-story residential building in the Radio and Television area collapsed. Rescue teams and relevant authorities were immediately mobilized to handle the situation.
According to a witness, the building that collapsed had been issued a demolition order several years ago. The condition of the building was poor, impacting nearby structures. The collapse caused cracks in neighboring buildings due to their close proximity.
In response, Ismailia Governor Akram Jalal has been monitoring the response and capabilities of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network following the building collapse in the Radio and Television area, specifically behind the Canal Club in the Third District.
