Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) received a delegation from the Kenyan Special Economic Zone (SEZA) as part of the delegation’s tour within Egypt to develop guidelines for evaluating special economic zones and the operating manual for the economic zones program in Kenya.
The visit aims to benefit from the economic experience and expertise of the SCZone, with regard to the entry of goods from the economic zone into the local market, in addition to knowledge of the system of taxes, customs and exemptions in the economic zone, under the auspices of the Japan International Cooperation Agency “Jica” as part of its program to support economic zones in a number of East African countries to help it develop its frameworks.
The meeting was held in the presence of a number of the Authority’s executive leadership.
