As part of its strategy to create job opportunities for young people, the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority signed a cooperation protocol with Shaghalni, a company specializing in recruitment, training, and linking businesses with skilled talent.
The agreement, signed by Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the Authority, along with Hanaa Mostafa, HR Advisor to the Authority, and Omar Khalifa, CEO of Shaghalni, aims to meet the staffing needs of existing and upcoming projects in the Authority’s ports and industrial zones. It will facilitate recruitment for companies and investors while enhancing the skills of young Egyptian professionals in the Canal cities and Sinai.
A key component of the protocol includes establishing a comprehensive database of company employment needs, particularly for technical, logistical, and specialized trades. Joint job fairs and workshops will also be organized to connect employers with job seekers.
“Investing in human capital is a cornerstone of the Authority’s strategy and its main competitive advantage,” Gamal El-Din said. He highlighted Egypt’s pool of talented professionals across specialized roles and craft trades and stressed the importance of upgrading skills to meet the demands of advanced technology sectors such as renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, raw materials, automotive manufacturing, and modern port operations.
The collaboration with a specialized employment and training company will strengthen the availability of a skilled workforce, complementing the Authority’s robust legislative, infrastructural, and energy capabilities.
It also leverages the strategic location and integrated ports and industrial zones, maximizing access to global markets through free trade agreements and international partnerships. This initiative is expected to enhance the Authority’s attractiveness for investment in targeted sectors and reinforce its position as a preferred global investment destination.
