Researchers of the Australian Institute of Marine Science succeeded in discovering elements treating tuberculosis at any stage of the disease.

It is worth to mention that more 10 million people catch the ailment every year in the world.

Two million people across the planet die of tuberculosis.

The disease is the most deadly one in the world compared to any other known ailment.

Doctors say sick people do not come to hospitals to see clinicians to receive suitable treatment. As a result, relatives of the sick catch pathogens of the disease.

People who catch tuberculosis suffer from a member of symptoms such as chronic fatigue, continuing cough accompanied with thick blooded phlegm.

Tuberculosis is a complicated social problem.

Scientists have not found decisive treatment to the disease so far.

Pathogens of the ailment fight most known antibiotics.

Its treatment becomes harder and harder year after another.

There is persistent need to find new treatment to this complicated ailment.

Nature is a source for biological materials.

Scientists in Australia have studied some 1500 pieces of natural sponge found in sea water.

Chemical analysis evidences that a type of sponge named Tedania excretes a biological compound called B bengamide.

This compound is  be used successfully in fighting parasites and worms and put under control many of pathogens of the tuberculosis and most strands of it.

It is not poisonous in contrary to drugs containing molecules hurt the sound tissues in human body.

Diana Quan, head of the team of researchers, said that this new discovery is very important.

The B  bengamide  may be a basic ingredient in medicines to be used in fighting tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by bacteria that are spread through the air from person to person. If not treated properly, TB disease can be fatal. People infected with TB bacteria, who are not sick, can take medication to prevent TB disease from developing in the future. Learn to recognize the symptoms of TB disease and find out if you are at risk.

At first an inpidual called Shaka thought he had the flu. He had chills, was tired all the time, and had no appetite. After almost a month of night sweats, chest pain, persistent cough, and losing about 30 pounds, Shaka knew something was really wrong, and went to the doctor.

After several more weeks of doctor visits and exams, and worsening symptoms, he was admitted to the hospital. Eventually he was diagnosed with TB.
