Saudis across the Kingdom performed the Istisqa prayer today, following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) during times of drought and delayed rainfall, hoping for the Most Generous and Merciful to bestow His grace and favor upon the land with abundant rain.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, worshippers flocked to prayer grounds and mosques prepared for the Istisqa prayer in all cities, governorates, centers, and villages of the Kingdom.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, had called for the performance of the Istisqa prayer throughout Saudi Arabia.
