Al-Hilal Saudi Football Club’s legendary captain Mubarak Abdul Karim died on Sunday at the age of 81 years after long battle with illness, the club said on its official website.
The Saudi club mourned Abdul Karim, dubbing him as the historical captain of the team.

Abdul Karim was the first captain ever in the history of Al Hilal Club, and the first to carry the Saudi King’s Cup after defeating Al Wahda Club in 1962.

He also won the King’s Cup in 1965 after a win over Saudi’s Al-Ittihad Club.
The veteran Saudi player was known for his strong bond with Al-Hilal, as he rejected many offers from many clubs in Jeddah and Riyadh.
