Saudi Prosecution Investigates Activist Calling Women to Burn Burqa

Saudi Prosecution declared that an investigation was started with a user of Tweeter website for charges related to violate the general system in the Saudi Arabia Kingdom (SAK).

The accused activist was charged of misconducts such as calling women in the kingdom to burn their burqa.

It is worth to mention that burqa is a face wear covers most part of the face except two holes in front of the eyes.

The Saudi News Agency (WAS) had quoted an official of the Prosecution as saying that the accused person was summoned to head quarter of Prosecution.

That person trod on a number of articles of Criminal law and the sixth article of Fighting Cyber Crimes in SAK.

The official added that the Saudi Prosecution  follows all crimes related to violations of the general system in the country.

Following such crimes sustains values of freedom in the SAK, he said.

Another users of Tweeter said that the person who called women to  burn  burqa, was Abdel Rahman Al Sobeehy, a clinician and psycho guide.

He invited the women to come to an place  of entertainment in Riyadh, the capital city of SAK, to burn burqa there.

Al Sobeehy deleted that tweet later causing controversy.

He claimed that his account on Tweeter was hacked when he was sleeping.

He added that he resorted the account after wakening up and deleted the controversial tweet.

He pointed out that he opined that uncovering the face is permissible but he is interested in his female relatives only.

It is worth to mention that authorities in the  SAK  prevent women from unveiling face.

Users of Tweeter respond positively to decision of the Saudi Prosecution.

They call the government to deter Al Sobeehy and punish him harshly.

On the other hand, some officials in the SAK encourage women to be more liberal and wear modern outfit.
