Saudi Arabia Condemns US Envoy's Controversial Statements

Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned recent remarks by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, stressing its full rejection of what it described as irresponsible positions that violate international law and undermine regional stability.

In an official statement, the Kingdom affirmed that the only viable path to a just and comprehensive peace is ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution. It said such an outcome is essential to safeguarding Palestinian rights and ensuring long-term regional stability.

Saudi Arabia reiterated its firm opposition to any actions that infringe on the sovereignty, territorial integrity, or borders of states, emphasizing the importance of respecting international law and the rules-based international order.

The Kingdom also called on the U.S. State Department to clarify its position regarding the controversial remarks, noting that statements of this nature from a U.S. official are serious and warrant an official explanation.

Riyadh further warned that what it described as extremist proposals risk antagonizing countries and peoples across the region, potentially threatening international peace and security and carrying serious consequences for regional stability and global relations.
