Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its stance calling for the unity, security, and stability of Sudan, and the necessity of preserving its legitimate institutions.

The Kingdom demanded that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) immediately cease their violations and adhere to their moral and humanitarian obligations to ensure the delivery of relief aid to those in need, in accordance with international and humanitarian laws and the provisions of the Jeddah Declaration (Commitment to Protect Civilians in Sudan), signed on May 11, 2023.

These remarks were made during the participation of the Kingdom's Permanent Mission to the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva in the interactive dialogue regarding the High Commissioner for Human Rights' oral briefing on the human rights situation in and around the city of El Fasher, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Monday.

In a statement delivered by the Permanent Representative, Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila, the Kingdom renewed its condemnation and denunciation of the grave humanitarian violations committed during the RSF attacks on El Fasher.

It also condemned the recent criminal attacks on health facilities, relief convoys, and civilian objects, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of displaced persons and unarmed civilians, including women and children.
