A stunning late goal by Ferjani Sassi granted Zamalek a 2-1 victory over Ismaily in the Egyptian League to maintain their leadership of the table with 29 points.

Obama had broken the silence after opening the scoring in the 50th minute, when Ahmed Sayed Zizo lifted an excellent cross into the penalty area, where Mahmoud Alaa fired from a close range, but keeper Fawzy denied it. The ball went to Obama, who found it easy to put the ball into the empty net.

Shoukry Nagib netted the equaliser in the 63rd minutes when he curled the ball from a very close range to the bottom of the post.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) disallowed a goal for Zamalek's forward Seif El-Din El Geziri in the 57th minute due to a foul on the Algerian player.

Ferjani Sassi sealed the victory for the White Knights in the 87th minute, when he fired a right-foot shot from the centre of the box to the top left corner to seal the win for the Whites.
