Samsung added Korean ARCore list from Google for its latest series of smartphones Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 + 5G and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.
ARCore is a suite of software development tools that allow building augmented reality applications and uses three main technologies to integrate virtual content with the real world, according to World Today news.
In addition the company has supported the new Google Depth API that allows more in AR applications to be added to the series.
It took more than 3 months from Google and Samsung to set the Galaxy S20 series for the ARCore compatibility list.
These phones can now be used to display many 3D models with a single click of a button in the Google Search app, and these objects can be moved around and seen in the AR space in your home via the viewfinder, clicking on pictures and recording videos of those 3D models.
The Depth API helps to distinguish between the foreground and the background in the real world, so that digital objects can more realistically move in space with the help of path-definition algorithms.
Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra also feature a VGA 3D ToF (Time of Flight) camera for accurate mapping of objects, which is something that can be used in augmented reality applications.
Meanwhile, Samsung announced its new Galaxy M01 smartphone, in conjunction with the launch of the Galaxy M11 in the Indian market. Galaxy M11 phone with a 6.4-inch screen with 1560 x 720 pixels resolution, three 13-megapixel, 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear cameras, while the front camera that comes within the screen is 8 megapixels.
According to Today News, as for the new Galaxy M01 phone, it offers a screen measuring 5.7 inches and accurately + HD, but the front camera is in parts and not within the screen, and it comes with a 5-megapixel resolution, while the rear cameras are two with a resolution of 13 megapixels and 2 megapixels.
The phone has a Snapdragon 450 processor, 3 GB or 4 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and 64 GB with the ability to expand up to 512 GB.
Noteworthy, Samsung launched Galaxy M11 in UAE, the smartphone is listed on Samsung’s UAE official website unveiling all the specifications of the smartphone. This is the third phone in the Galaxy M-series after the Galaxy M31 and the Galaxy M21 launch. However, the official listing doesn’t reveal the pricing of the phone.
The screen carries a punch-hole camera placed at the upper-left corner of the display. The punch-hole camera houses an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
Noteworthy, Samsung announced a brand new android tablet. The new 2020 Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 offers up LTE connectivity, solid battery life. 2020 Galaxy Tab A 8.4 is a tablet designed for an affordable price point.
Obviously, it offers up an 8.4-inch display which has a resolution of 1920×1200, leaving a 16:10 aspect ratio which should be handy for content consumption.
Also, the Korean company amazed the the world on last Thursday after discovering information that its next foldable phone (Galaxy Z Flip 5G) will come with one of the company’s most powerful processors.
According to Technical reports, that Samsung changed its previous opinion by placing its current processor (Snapdragon 855+) to replace it with a newer and stronger processor (Snapdragon 865).
