In a press statement, artist Sameh Hussein clarified the truth regarding his alleged appointment to the faculty of Helwan University. The statement read: "I was honored to attend an open and enjoyable dialogue with students at Helwan University, the university from which I graduated with a degree in Theater Studies from the Faculty of Arts – after obtaining my Bachelor of Laws degree from Ain Shams University. I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful day. I was then surprised by the controversy surrounding my supposed appointment to the faculty. Out of respect for your right to know and in consideration of all opinions, I would like to clarify the following:

I have not been appointed to the faculty of Helwan University, nor was the matter even presented to me. The academic profession has its established rules, and my specialization leads me to respect the specializations of others and to support the principle that university teaching should always be entrusted to specialists."

In a conversation with Dr. Elsayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, before the meeting, the matter touched on modern teaching methods in which trainers, practitioners and experts have a major role in participating in education, in addition to benefiting from modern means of communication in delivering information to students, and I was asked about my readiness to participate, as a trainer, and in my field of specialization. I expressed my willingness and acceptance of anything that would allow me to help my university students and any student within my field of specialization.

We were raised on the concept of "dramatizing the curriculum," and my specialization is "theater." My latest program achieved great success, thanks to God, on social media platforms. This led to discussions about presenting "social issues" through theater, or through discussions with specialists via podcasts or the "Helwan Plus" platform, which is my university's highly successful online platform. I was invited to present content on it related to the social issues taught in a course, and I couldn't refuse this role. In fact, I requested that an academic professor participate and guide me. It was agreed that the course syllabi would be sent and meetings would be held with distinguished professors regarding this matter.
