Mohamed Salah spread joy to a young supporter who was so excited at spotting the Liverpool star that he knocked himself out trying to keep up with the player’s car.

Eleven-year-old Liverpool fan Louis Fowler was with his 10-year-old brother Isaac when they spotted Salah leaving Liverpool’s Melwood training ground in his car.

The two brothers then chased Salah's car, unfortunately Louis collided headfirst into a lamp-post, knocking himself unconscious.

Louis' stepfather, Joe Cooper, told Sky News: “Whilst [we were] ringing an ambulance we saw Mo driving into the close having spotted Louis and following back to the close to check whether they were both okay.

A concerned Salah noticed the accident, circling back in his car and getting out to check if the kid was alright. "The kids were screaming with excitement as he got out of the car and Isaac went into hysterics and hugged him. Salah then went on to pose for a photo with a young fan.

Mo was very apologetic and caring and was really compassionate towards the boys and made them feel so much better.”

After posing for a photograph with his hero, Louis was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to have his broken nose reset.

“We wanted to say thank you to him from the bottom of our hearts as he made both of them feel much better,” Cooper added.

“Mo really is a top, top man. He is a global superstar and had no need to stop today, we’re just so thankful he did.”
