Dr. Angelique Coetzee, a South African doctor, found odd symptoms in normally healthy patients and is concerned about how the new variety can harm the elderly.

According to The Telegraph, the symptoms of the new version are unique but mild, according to the first South African doctor to warn authorities about patients with the Omicron type.

Coetzee said she first became aware of the prospect of a novel type when patients in her busy private practise in Pretoria, South Africa's capital, began presenting with Covid-19 symptoms that didn't make sense.

She claimed they comprised young people of various backgrounds and nationalities who were quite tired, as well as a 6-year-old youngster with a very high pulse rate. There was no loss of taste or fragrance in any of the participants.

"Their symptoms were so distinct and so light from those I had treated before," said Coetzee, a GP for 33 years who also runs her practice and leads the South African Medical Association.

She informed the country's vaccine advisory council on November 18 after four family members all tested positive for Covid-19 with total exhaustion.

The South African doctor claims that roughly a half-dozen of her patients have tested positive for Covid-19 and are experiencing symptoms related to the new form. They were primarily healthy men who showed up "weary as hell." Approximately half of them had not been immunised.

"We had one really intriguing case, a 6-year-old girl with a fever and a very high pulse rate, and I debated whether or not I should admit her. But when I checked in with her two days later, she had improved dramatically "According to Coetzee.
