The head of the Russian Orthodox Church talked about the Kremlin's invasion of Ukraine, on Sunday, calling Moscow's opponents in Ukraine "evil forces".

"God forbid that the current political situation in brotherly Ukraine should be aimed at ensuring that the evil forces that have always fought against the unity of Russia and the Russian Church prevail," Patriarch said in an address to parishioners.

The conflict with Russia and Ukraine has entered the fourth day as Moscow ordered its troops to advance in Ukraine "from all directions".

Ukrainian officials revealed that about 200 civilians, including three children, had been killed since Russia invaded early Thursday.

Accordingly, the International Judo Federation (IJF) announced suspending Russian President Vladimir Putin as honorary president of the soprt.

"In light of the ongoing war... in Ukraine, the International Judo Federation announces the suspension of Mr. Vladimir Putin's status as Honorary President and Ambassador of the International Judo Federation," read the IJF statement.
