Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in the Indian capital, New Delhi, on Thursday, where a meeting of defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries will be held on Friday.
According to the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense: "During the event, it is scheduled to discuss issues related to international and regional security and strengthening cooperation in the field of defense and security."
According to the ministry, the defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states (Russia, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) will participate in the meeting.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is an international political, economic and security organization that was established on June 15, 2001 in Shanghai.
