Secretary General of Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, met with Omani Crown Prince Dhi Yazan bin Haitham Al Said, during an official visit to Muscat on Monday.
In a statment, Russian Security Council noted that The two parties "exchanged views on issues related to global challenges and threats, and special attention was directed to Middle East issues."
Moreover, Patrushev, during his visit, also held a detailed discussion on the prospects for the Russian-Omani relationship and cooperation in the field of information security, as well as interaction between law enforcement agencies, special services and financial intelligence, in addition to the implementation of some economic projects.
The Russian Security Council added that Patrushev also discussed "a wide range of issues related to Russian-Omani cooperation in other fields" with the Minister of the Royal Office of Oman, Sultan al-Numani.
He also met with the Secretary-General of the Omani National Security Council, Idris al-Kindi.
Following the discussions, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Russian Security Council and the secretariat of the Omani National Security Council.
