Russian Defense Ministry announced, on Monday, that 19 military sites, as well as large quantities of US and Western weapons at a railway station near the Ukrainian town of Soledar, have been destroyed.
The Russian air forces used 'high-precision missiles' in this strike, the ministry's spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said.
Moreover, he added that the Russian air defense systems shot down a "Bayraktar TB2" drone in the area of Zmiinyi Island, and a Su-25 aircraft near Bogunova village.
It is worth mentioning that, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Wednesday that Russia’s attack on Ukraine has made NATO and Europe more powerful.
Earlier, the US writer David Ignatius said that Russia had made many mistakes since the start of the military operation in Ukraine.
In an article, published by the US newspaper “Washington Post”, the writer added that among the grave mistakes made by Russia, which have cost it a lot since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, is the exaggeration of its expectations regarding its superiority in electronic warfare as part of the current military war on Ukrainian soil.
Moreover, he pointed out that Russia has, so far, failed in electronic jamming of communications, which is a vital aspect to achieve any military victory.
In addition, he noted that the Russian side also failed to assess the real capabilities of the Ukrainian side and did not take into account the large amount of aid provided by NATO for Ukraine.
