The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its condemnation of any military intervention in Venezuela, emphasizing the necessity of preventing further escalation and seeking a solution through dialogue.

A statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry read: "The United States committed an armed aggression against Venezuela this morning. This is alarming and condemnable."

The statement continued: "The pretexts used to justify these actions are baseless, as ideological hostility has overshadowed practical pragmatism and the desire to build relations based on trust and transparency."

"It is primarily important to prevent further escalation and to prepare for a solution through dialogue. We proceed from the principle that all partners who may have mutual claims must seek ways to resolve problems through understanding and dialogue, and we stand ready to support them in this regard."

The Ministry added: "Latin America must remain a zone of peace, as declared in 2014. Venezuela's right to self-determination must be guaranteed without any destructive foreign interference, let alone military intervention."

Furthermore, it stated: "We reaffirm our solidarity with the Venezuelan people and our support for the approach of its Bolivarian leadership aimed at protecting national interests and the country's national sovereignty. We support the statement issued by the Venezuelan authorities and Latin American leaders calling for an immediate meeting of the UN Security Council."
