Russia Announces Destroying 5 Ukrainian Military Sites

The Russian Defense Ministry announced, on Saturday, that its forces destroyed 5 sites of the Ukrainian military command, in the south and east of the country.

Russian media quoted the Ministry of Defense as saying that 5 sites of the Ukrainian military command were destroyed in the Donbass in the east of the country and Mykolaiv in the south, using high-precision weapons, while 3 storage sites were destroyed in the Zaporizhia region, which is located in southern Ukraine, according to "Reuters".

Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities reported that at least 17 people were killed and others wounded in Russian missile strikes targeting a residential building and a recreational facility in the “Odessa” region.

In a statemnet, the Ukrainian emergency services said that 14 people were killed and 30 injured after a missile hit a nine-storey building in the town of “Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi” in the “Odessa” region.

In a related context, the emergency services added that another missile targeted a recreation center in the “Belgorod-Dniester” region, killing at least 3 people, including a child, and wounding another person.

It is worth mentioing that, Taras Vysotsky, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture and Food Affairs said on Sunday that since the start of the Russian war, the agriculture sector in Ukraine has incurred losses reaching $4.3 billion.

Vysotsky warned, in a statement carried by the Ukrainian news agency, “Ukrainform”, that Russia is deliberately destroying the agricultural infrastructure in Ukraine.

He noted that according to a study prepared by the Center for Food and Land Use Research Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), the losses of Ukrainian agriculture from the conflict with Russian have already amounted to $4.3 billion.

Vysotsky added that since the beginning of the war, Moscow has exported at least 400,000 tons of grain from the Ukrainian regions controlled by the Russian army.

According to Vysotsky, there were about 1.5 million tons of grain in those regions according to the records, and now Ukrainians who are there reported that there is an export of these grains.

He explained that he found out while gathering information that there are about 400,000 tons of grain exported by Russia.
