Iranian President Hassan Rouhani affirmed on Thursday that Tehran reserves the right to respond "in a timely manner" to the assassination of the nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

This came during Rouhani's phone call with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday.

He described Fakhrizadeh's murder as Iran's enemies' sign of weakness adding that Iran will take revenge at the right time.

He continued that Fakhrizadeh exerted no efforts in fighting COVID-19 through concentrating on COVID-19 researches and manufacturing the required medical devices to beat COVID-19.

Rouhani also discussed Joe Biden's, US President-elect, latest statements regarding reactivating the nuclear deal with Iran.

Iran has asserted that it will respect the nuclear agreement if the other parties respected it as well.

It is worthy to mention that Iran started series international and regional moves after Fakhrizadeh's death including Iran's president blame to Israel for the scientist's assasination.

A few hours after Fakhrizadeh's death, Tehran called on the UN Security Council to condemn the incident and take action against those behind it.

On the other hand, The security council did not respond to Tehran`s call.
